Hello everybody,
I would like to continue the old thread:
my US FDC SAF 1930 with rare combination - three stamps 2x$0.65 and $1.30 from 19.04.1930 and on backside green arrival stamp Lakehurst 31.05.1930.
(Si.#64 A. and B.) and famous cover from Alfred with $2.60 stamp to Cuba/Havana, it's a pity, I have only a standard variant (return to USA). Each cover has a different type of D.C.'s cancelation stamp of April 19,1930.
Best regards,
pasol

Hello Pasol!
pasol hat geschrieben:... and famous cover from Alfred with 2.60 stamp to Cuba/Havana, ...

Unfortunately I have to correct you: this fabulous Havanna-cover doesn't belong to my collection, I only "own" a scan. As I told earlier (-> viewtopic.php?f=26&t=141&p=1678&hilit=Havanna#p1678 ), this cover was offered to me years ago, but I couldn't afford it.
The first cover of this "perfect pair" which you showed us, is a real gem too: the unusual First-Day-cancellation-stamp of this cover is certainly very rare.
Many thanks for showing!
Best greetings
Alfred

Hello again. Here is another one of these 1931 "HUNGARY FLIGHT" ( Ruckfahrt) covers/postcards that i have, and as in the thread that Zeppelin showed in this thread on the "29.DEC.2010" the day of the cancel is "24.MAR.31" which is 3 Days before Michel and 5 Days before Sieger show in their catalouge as the first day of issue. Both this Postcard and the Postcard that Zeppelin showed are sent by the same Sender/Dealer "Miksa Geiszler" Szombathely, Hungary, so i assume that he got his hands on some of these 1931 Hungary Zeppelin o/p Airmail special issues before the official day of issue :?:

It is not a zeppelin stamp FDC, but at least a FDC of the stratopheric accident issue from 1934.
According to Michel, the First Day was September 15, 1934 ---- but on this zeppelin card, the stamps are postmarked six days earlier, on September 9, 1934. Probably the earlyest recorded usage?

Dear Zeppelin,
some part of these stamps was issued really in August 1934. The projects were adopted in May 1934. I know the cover with these stamps used in Kazan (city) in August 10th, 1934, but an official date of issue is September 15th,1934.
Best regards,

Dear TALLTREES and friends,
I know that the earliest date (non-official) of using both hungarian Zeppelin stamps 1931 1P and 2P is realy March 24th, 1931. It is the date of preparing the mails for sending to Friedrichshafen for Hungarian Flight 1931 (Primary Flight).
That this is not just a mistake by using the stamp with the date March 24th proves shown me an envelope with these stamps posted in Friedrichshafen from Budapest for the first stage of the Hungarian flight 1931, which began only on March 28th.
But some part of the mail, which were canceled March 24th, 1931, did not sent to Friedrichshafen under any reasons and were used later for Budapest Round flight 1931 and Hungarian return Flight 1931...which TALLTREES showed earlier. Therefore there are 3 types of FDC with the same date, but delivered by different flights (stages of flight) during LZ-127 Hungarian Flight 1931.
And the main feature of these 3 types FDCs is that most rare of them are envelopes with these stamps, canceled date of March 24 and used in the first stage of the this flight from Friedrichshafen to Budapest March 28th, such as this  .
Regards,
pasol.
